Some of use have lived a life, well into our 20s and 30s, that has been largely unaffected by illness, mental or physical, and without any significant loss. It can be tough for some people to feel empathy for those who have lived more eventful lives.

Candid conversations like this–that convey the circumstances of mental illness–perform a significant, positive role in helping everyone come closer to feeling that empathy and maybe actually supporting programs that attempt to help those that have been ignored for so long. Thank you, John.
