NBA announces Hassan Whiteside suspended one game without pay for slamming Kelly Olynyk last night

In the eyes of the league, charging and throwing a forearm into the back/neck of an opposing player who isn’t looking is the same as leaving the bench during an altercation or lightly kicking a player in the groin. How is that possible?

For whatever it’s worth, Whiteside did reach out and apologize to Kelly.

In my eyes, that apology has the same value as a wet bag of horse manure.

Surprised….I am not. The league is as inconsistent with their punishments as their referees are with their calls.

  Keith Bogans: brutally wraps up Leondro Barbosa on the fast break, ends up with Barbosa in a headlock looking scared for his life.
  
  Normal foul.
  
  Isiah Thomas: split second wrap up on the fast break, guy falls hard into stanchion, no clear push by Thomas in reviews.

  This is the one that pisses me off far more than the Smart ejection (and the upholding of the call after). Its just clear as day inconsistency. Blatant. Egregious. F the refs and the NBA.

You could see this coming. He was pissed when he picked up his early second foul and was being chippy all game. If a player is noticeably losing his cool the way Hassan was they need to be addressed before a play like this happens and the outcome is worse.

So much for that great season your having Whiteside. Being immature kept you out of the league, im sure reverting back to old habits will bold well for your career.

He probably learned those moves from D Wade. There’s a reason this kid had been a scrub before this season. Go back to Chin Hassan Blindside.
