Videos of the Day: All the KG you can handle

The Celtics’ offense was firing on all cylinders last night, but the score of the game took a back seat to the return of Kevin Garnett.

KG was serenaded by a raucous Garden crowd all night, with chants of “WE WANT K-G..” and “THANK YOU K-G..” It culminated late in the 4th when to the delight of everyone in the building and those watching at home, the Garden jumbotron operator put on “Gino Time”. Just a fantastic evening.

Enjoy the videos below which highlight some of the most memorable moments from what very well could have been Garnett’s final game in Boston. And oh yeah-there’s some game video too…

Minnesota or no Minnesota, KG bleeds green just like us. It was a wondrous six years. And if not for those freakin’ injuries………………..

No doubt we go back-to-back if not for those motherfcking bone spurs. FCK YOU BONE SPURS!

      • Curt Hays

        Um, you mean 3-Peat.

          2008-2010 and 2012 would’ve been ours

It’s like what I always tell people, heart of a Timberwolf that pumps out green blood.

I think it was one of the best moments as a Celtics fan to see them throw Gino up for KG and have the fans chant and cheer for him… He and PP were the heart and soul of this team which kept the Celtics spirit alive and strong. For the organization to throw up Gino for him was a class act… He belongs in the rafters for his love of this team and city along with our captain PP who fought for this team through thick and thin!

Put PP and KG numbers in the rafters! One of the commentators mentioned that R. Allen should join them and I say no f***ing way. Mr. Allen should first go to school for a course in public relations, then maybe we would be willing to bring up his name in future. But probably not. He can’t be a smart person for the way he exited.

Ray ray did great things for the Celtics and the community, and I def appreciate what he did… But I don’t think he went to that next level and connected with fans like PP and KG did… Plus he left town on a sour note, PP and KG left with keeping their relationship with the team, fans, and city intact.

        • Dave

During his time here you can really tell that him and PP were brothers and still are. Ray was always the 3rd wheel to that machine but nonetheless an important one.

When they came together in 07 it was such an exciting time for a high school kid like me and a breath of fresh air for every fan.

    • Curt Hays

Did you see, during the broadcast, the camera focus on the next empty square on the retired numbers banner?

      • NE_Celt

I sure did… A very nice touch by the broadcasting crew, whoever was running the show that night was on point with Gino and the nod to the banners!
