Dirty D-Wade is disappointed in Whiteside [insert laughter]

Chuck - Red's Army March 10, 2015 Around the NBA 16 Comments

Following last night’s game, the Heat addressed Hassan Whiteside’s cheap, cowardly attack on Kelly Olynyk (via Palm Beach Post):

Dwyane Wade went so far as to say there is nothing left for the veterans to tell Whiteside at this point. He has to figure this out himself.

Is Wade disappointed?

“Very,” he said. “We all are. As a Heat fan you are. In this locker room we are. Everybody. He’s gonna have to learn and he’s gonna learn the hard way. He’s doing it his own way. Hopefully he changes his mentality pretty quick.

“Players gotta understand how important they are to an organization and continue to understand that moment when you finally got that call-up, how you felt. You would’ve done anything to get that, just to be here. Sometimes you start feeling yourself a little too much. A lot of us are guilty of that. You’ve gotta humble yourself. Hopefully Hassan gets it.”

Disappointed? He’s gonna have to learn?

Hey Dwyane, it’s quite possible that Hassan Whiteside is learning. He’s learning from one of the game dirtiest players.

Fraud.

God I hate Dwade with a fiery passion. My hate for him was cemented 2 or 3 seasons ago when we played them first game of the season. Early in the game Dwade clothes-lined Rondo and didn’t even get called for a regular foul. At the end of the game with the Heat up by like 25, Dwade drove to the basket for a flashy dunk with like 20 seconds left (bad sportsmanship move) so Rondo prevented his show off by returning the favor and clothes-lined him exactly the same way. Rondo got called for a Flagrant 1 and after the game Dwade called Rondo out as a dirty punk. Like seriously dude? You did the same thing that game!

How about Wade repeatedly, intentionally bumping Rondo’s arm after the Elbow Game?

    • Dave

He doesn’t mind dishing it out but hates it when he’s on the receiving end. My hate cemented for him when he broke Rondo’s arm in the 2011 Playoffs. It didn’t help that later on how he along with LeBron made fun of Dirk for being sick but of course Dirk went HAM on them afterwards.

Just goes to show you what an entitled piece of sh*t he is.

  • Curt Hays

Whiteside blindsided Kelly. He was pissed. He wanted to leave the game. He immediately walked to the bench.

You could see it in his face early in the first quarter. I kept telling everyone I was watching the game with he was going to lose it.

Nice. It’s awesome to know when you are a real basketball fan like that.

Speaking of Dwade makes my blood boil…dude is a dirty player plain and simple. Him speaking as a veteran example on how not to make plays like this, is more than laughable.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where Hassan picked up those tactics and Wade is basically just pleading his case like he did when he fell, started hitting the floor with his hands while bitching to the ref when we face them in the 2012 ECF’s.

Wade is prob the NBA player I hate most next to D.Cousins. He has a record of dirty plays & its like the media ignores it. He broke Rondos arm. hard fouled Kobe during an all-star game, ran over Collison whos half his size & got suspended for kicking Sessions a while back. And lets not forget that the hit on I.T. last night was sneaky dirty too.

Was DWade having an out of body experience?!

  • bill_nair

Wade used to be one of my favorite players. Watching him look like his old self last night reminded me of how much of a great player he was. But boy did he turn into a bitch when Lebron came. I couldn’t be happier his knees are giving out on him.

    • Eisenhorn1976

Same here — although I still respect Wade a bit: he remains one of the most accomplished SG in NBA history.

It’s just that instead of replacing his lost athleticism with actual game smarts, he replaced it with dirty tactics. When I saw the headline that he was ‘disappointed’ in Whiteside, I cracked up without even needing to read the article!
