Freshly cropped Olynyk out 3 weeks with shoulder injury

Capture

Via ESPN’s Chris Forsberg:

Boston Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk rejoined the team in Utah on Friday. He said he expects to be sidelined for three weeks due to a right shoulder injury.

Just as noteworthy: Olynyk trimmed his flowing locks after returning home over the All-Star break. Asked if he can still wear it in his familiar manbun, Olynyk said: “I haven’t really tried yet. I can’t get my shoulder up high enough . I might have to hire a personal stylist.”

Anyone else worried about how Olynyk’s injury is going to impact the team? I mean, I’m all for checking out Jordan Mickey, but now that I’ve tasted the 3rd seed, I want to stay there.

In other news, David Lee is no longer with the team. Buyout talks are underway.

They changed the slight dislocation to a bruise ahead of the trade deadline. They knew it was dislocated the night it happened. I knew it as soon as I saw it.

The Celtics lied to the media in case someone wanted to give Danny something good for Olynyk in trade. His shot is likely gone for a month or two. It isn’t going to be good. Evan Turner is about to have to earn a paycheck.

Considering that the C’s got a 2nd rounder after OKC lied to the C’s about Jeff Green, I’m thinking Danny — with his surfeit of 2nd rounders — was probably all right with paying that price if it came to that.

KO’s hiring of a personal stylist is long overdue.
