Two NBA executives, when asked where they thought Minnesota star forward Kevin Love would end up, said the Los Angeles Lakers — even though Golden State appears to be the front-runners for his services.

And those executives are Jim and Jeanie Buss.

The Lakers cannot trade for Love because of one tiny obstacle – THEY HAVE NO ASSETS.

Part of me wonders if the Love yammering has died down because Flip’s actually talking trade and knows he has to keep his yap shut.

Note that there has been nothing of substance leaked since the GS GM said that a trade was unlikely.

Kupchak is better off pulling out all the stops to sign Carmelo, because they can make that work a lot more easily than Love. They can’t trade a roster full of has-beens and never-wases to Minny.

Although I’ve been a LAKER fan my whole life, and of course hate anything green. You mention in the article that two NBA executives think the LAKERS have a chance to get Love, those executives being the nitwit Buss children, it does make a rock solid argument for the Celtics! DAMN!!
