Sending Tommy Heinsohn to the Lottery Tuesday night may bring some luck. But in the fashion of the Irish, we need a toast to help those ping pong balls bounce the right way. So we need everyone to grab a pint of something (preferably Guinness) or for you youngsters have a glass of the Celtics “Kool-Aid”. Say a toast with us, and drink to the Celt’s good fortune. And if come Tuesday everyone feels Duncan-ed again, just grab another pint/glass and curse everything I’ve ever said…. Raise your glasses And drink to a top 2 pick Because anything lower Could make us all sick Although the odds favor The fourth pick for some reason That surely wouldn’t make it all worth This past horrid season Adding either Oden or Durant Would put a smile on all our faces Because from then on the Celts Would be in for some playoff races Oden can play great defense And you can’t teach 7 feet Mix that with Big Al at power forward And the front court is complete Durant can play the wing Pierce will have a friend to score 20 points a night from a rookie Is that too much to ask for? No pick at the top would mean Anger, Nausea and possibly confusion Because with no Oden or Durant We could be getting someone named Yialian So now all at once Ask the NBA for a break Pray to the Basketball Gods Give us a top pick, for our sanity’s sake!
