Your Morning Dump… Where sometimes you just gotta get away

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline.  Because there's nothing quite as satisfying a good morning dump. “If you hit a dry patch or a rough patch, it’s almost somewhat appropriate that you figure it out while you’re on the road because you’ve got to... Bill Walton: Rapper extraordinairre

I don't know why this happened… and I don't care.  All I know is that's Bill Walton whipping out an awesomely painful off-beat rap.  When you combine that with the Wild Turkey story… Bill Walton might just be the most awesome person alive. Via NESW Sports... [More]

KG, Pierce on “All Decade Team”

I always expect Pierce to be overlooked in lists like this.  But he wasn't. Ian Thomsen has put together a nice little list. His starting 5:  Nash, Kobe, LeBron, Duncan and Shaq.  Hard to argue with that for an All Decade team. KG is a reserve… Though Garnett was the 2004 league MVP with Minnesota,... [More]

Enemy Chatter: “Ray Allen, I don’t like you”

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Memphis. For tonight, Ray Allen, I don't like you. Surely a nice guy, an amazing shooter, but tonight, I just can't like you very much. Matthew Hoe –... [More]

The Morning Dump… Where sometimes you’re good and lucky

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline.  Because there's nothing quite as satisfying a good morning dump. “We didn’t play our best obviously. Our defense was not very good. We just kind of hung in there. We got some good execution down the stretch and... [More]

Ray Knocks Out the Grizzlies

Those Memphis Grizzlies sure are a pesky bunch. They played their hearts out tonight against the Celtics. I almost felt bad when Ray Allen (18 points, 5-6 3FG) drilled a 25-footer with 17 seconds left to beat the shot clock and seal the Celtics 110-105 victory. In all seriousness, this was an entertaining basketball game.... [More]
