Big Papi joins in on the Kevin Love recruiting

John - Red's Army (@RedsArmy_John) June 1, 2014 Celtics News 12 Comments

It’s hard not to get excited after a weekend that we may never have known about before Twitter existed.  From Kevin Love checking out the city to hanging with Rajon Rondo at Fenway and now David Ortiz, for the second time, playing the former Minnesota-to-Boston athlete card in the recruiting of a Timberwolves forward.  It’s hard not to feel like it’s gonna happen.  I know that there’s this little matter of actually putting the trade together and beating a potential killer offer from Cleveland…. but I don’t know many people who go through the weekend Kevin Love had and don’t fall in love with Boston.

Plus it’s Papi.  Ain’t no one cooler than Papi.

Papi gets it.  He just gets it.

Even if we don’t get Kevin love… the fact that players from Boston reach out to players from a different sport, to potentially benefit other Boston teams, truly shows how good the players (and the fans) have it here. Makes me proud.

Cleveland would be insane to offer the first for Love. But Cleveland WOULD do it and blow the top pick. In that case, see you in 2015 Love.

Good…move the talent to the West conference and bring us Love!

let cleveland give up everything and have KL not sign an extension. 1 year rental, boston here he comes.

Man, I hate to get my hopes up, but this would be a huge break for the Celtics. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

i should say it was fun to see Kevin Love in Boston. just to fan the rumors and people reaction to it. he is first real free agent to be to show love to boston. my opinion about him changed in one wild weekend.
