Jerryd Bayless says he wouldn’t play for Sterling, Clippers

Chuck - Red's Army April 26, 2014 Around the NBA, Celtics News, Jerryd Bayless 14 Comments

Celtics guard Jerry Bayless is one of the first NBA athletes to publicly condemn Clippers owner Donald Sterling for his racist remarks.

The NBA just issued a statement:

We are in the process of conducting a full investigation into the audio recording obtained by TMZ. The remarks heard on the recording are disturbing and offensive, but at this time we have no further information.

According to LA Daily News reporter Vincent Bonsignore, the Clippers players are pissed off.

ESPN, the league’s primary broadcast partner, is ignoring the TMZ report. Disgraceful.

    Dear Chuck and John,
I am more pissed off about your buggy website, the mobile version in particular, than anything Donald Sterling had to say.

When you get a chance, hit us at redsarmy.com@gmail.com with some detailed complaints. Let us know your phone, browser, etc. I know it takes time but we can take those to the developer and hopefully fix it.

My only complaint is that you guys have way too many ads with sound that play automatically. WAY TOO MANY.

        • chuckmckenney

Eddy – Thanks for the info. I DESPISE those ads. I will contact our ad networks. I have repeatedly told them to exclude such ads.

I hope others chime in here. The mobile experience is just horrible. On my iphone, ipad and even on my nephew’s android phone, all using the latest OS. If I were to press the backspace button to erase something I just wrote, it freezes. On my ipad, I’d be typing a comment and suddenly I get taken to an ad and can’t return to my spot. It’s so frickin’ annoying. And, while typing, if I slide the screen a bit, it freezes & I can’t type anymore.

Also, why can’t we stay on the same page when we click to read/write?

Mobile sites have been updated. Clear your cache and let us know what you think.

    • KWAPT

Yes..please send us that info so we can look into it. And anyone else having issues with the mobile site, please send us an email with type of phone you’re using, browser etc. Thanks.

I agree with mobile site. RE comments section or clicking an image link u need to click “close” to call back articles. If you hit back to front page then click on same or new article the sub section will be there and you must close that to view the main post. It’s just not logical.

When an ad pops up if you don’t hit I think the back key in time you fully leave RA to Google Play store to be forced to download something . Only fully closing that window and starting a new browser tab allows me to get back to RA.

I have your phone John and run the stock Android browser by HTC Sense .

The site is completely useless on an IPad. Sucks on an iPhone but on an iPad it’s completely unworkable.

maybe you should get your priorities straight.

      • LA Flake

I find Sterling’s views abhorrent but I don’t get mad when somebody expresses his bigotry in private. That’s Sterling’s view and since he has no say in *my* life, I couldn’t give a damn.

Plus 1 Million . RA post a story or poll asking about the reader’s satisfaction with the current mobile site and you’ll see how abysmal it is.
