Enemy Chatter: Jerryd Bayless is a fake tough guy

We often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics. Here’s a look at some enemy chatter from Sacramento.

“I don’t like him,” Thomas said of his former AAU teammate. “End of story. He’s a fake tough guy.”

So where does all this animosity come from?

“He knows,” Thomas said.

And why doesn’t Thomas like Bayless?

“Because I don’t,” Thomas said. “That’s why.”

Memo to Isaiah Thomas: Everyone in the NBA is a fake tough guy.

I don’t blame Bayless for shoving Thomas. When a guy is hovering over you with his ass in your face, he deserves to be pushed.

Hahahahahaha Cousins splitting up a fight. He’ll be a saint soon enough.

It’s kind of sad that nobody can ever say anything about Cousins without talking about his “maturity” because of the media’s portrayal of his character. People can’t even compliment him without saying “… but he needs to mature” etc. Ugh. It’s so played out. One day everyone will say “he’s one of the best bigs in the league” without any ifs ands or buts. I hope.

I love cousins attitude actually KG esque in this new clean nba era. It’s a good thing but it’s funny seeing him not live up to his stereotype for once in a while. He is my favourite centre in the league and a lot of that is because of his attitude once his shot blocking and defence improves he’ll be a top 5 player.

If you ask me he’s already top 5 and possibly the best offensive center in the game. I would say Dwight has the best complete game, Hibs best defense, and DMC best offense for C’s in the league.

With a lead that big that late in the game I was annoyed and perhaps instigator is his role, but even when Bayless plays well I want to see less of him on the court. Now that Johnson has a contract that should mean the end of his tenure after this contract expires and maybe that was part of why he was all hyped up. I loved the hustle on that one loose ball sliding on the court yet other basketball IQ decisions he makes is why he’s expendable and frustrating as Tommy often points out.
