Photos & video of Truth & Ticket’s return to Boston

I’m still emotionally hungover from yesterday evening, but it was totally worth it. Kudos to the Celtics staff-they absolutely killed those tribute videos. And the fans in attendance were just fantastic. As corny as it may sound, you could truly feel the love in that building last night. After Game 6 in ’08 and the raising of Banner 17, last night was definitely my most memorable experience at TD Garden.

Here are a collection of pics & GIFs from last night via Hoop China & Weibo. You’ll also find both tribute videos below. They were filmed by our own Jay aka MrTrpleDouble10 from his seats in Section 15. Enjoy…

Last night, in my opinion, was right there behind 2008 in terms of Garden memories for me. Last night was amazing. Never seen anything like it and I doubt I will see anything like that again in my lifetime. I hope we get the next KG and PP sooner rather than later, but the memories those 2 left us will keep me happy for the next 20 years.

The only thing I can compare it to was the 2008 banner raising. The place was unbelievable that night.

These two guys, especially Paul Pierce, mean SO MUCH to the team, the city of Boston and its fans it’s unbelievable. I know it’s just basketball but I am so honored to have followed Pierce’s journey from the beginning. And I feel so lucky to have witnessed KG’s insanity in green. He is a true Celtic. I really hope they both come back to the franchise after they retire. The C’s need to keep them around the organization and not mess up and let them get away like Bird did.

As fans we couldn’t ask of anything more of them.
I don’t know what it is about Paul, he’s had me hooked since Kansas. Does having such a belief in someone I never met make me crazy, IDK. I never thought his status would have grown this much. There have been many doubters saying he can’t do many things along the way. So seeing the tribute makes me proud to be a fan of him and the Celtics.

People forget how DOMINANT Pierce was at his position in his prime. The man took a very very mediocre team to the ECF and routinely outdueled more “popular” names who were considered better than Pierce. Everyone, Iverson, TMac, Carter, Kobe, DWade and LBJ were sent home by Pierce at one point or another. And when there was a BIG game, you could almost sense he was going to be in a zone and he was. Just an amazing Celtic. A true legend through and through.

Yes, and as just fans, you and I both knew Paul could and would beat those guys.

          • LA Flake

Yup. Never doubted. He was a gamer.

My apologies if anyone had trouble viewing any of the pics. Should be fine now.
