Your Morning Dump… Where Avery Bradley might miss the start of training camp

Avery Bradley

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

“He’s going through a very difficult time,” Danny Ainge, Boston’s president of basketball operations, told CSNNE.com. “His mother passed away and they were very close and he’s expecting a baby any day. He’s got a lot going on.”

Bradley’s mother, Alicia “Lisa” Jones, 46, passed away on September 10.

When asked if Bradley might be late to training camp, Ainge responded, “I don’t know. We’re just taking it day-by-day right now.”

“A lot going on” is a massive understatement when describing Avery Bradley’s life right now.

I bet Avery makes the start of camp (October 1). A lot of people use work as a distraction.

Stay strong, Avery. Celtics fans are behind you.

I hope the best for Avery. I think he should go to his training camp. His mother would have wanted him to mourn and be sad, but not let his life totally unravel. Hopefully he shows up to put his mind on something else and overcome this slump he is in.

I hope Avery can dedicate this season to his mother and new born baby… when life gets you down, go out and kick a$$ Avery!

Wow his mom was young. That’s sad, we have to move on.
So we beat on, boats against the current, bourne back ceaselessly into the past.

Damn man. It breaks my freakin’ heart. I know he wanted nothing more than to have his mother there when he officially became a father.

I wish him all the best. Unlike some of the comments here, I think he should take as much time as he feels necessary to cope during this trying time.
