Throwback Thursday: Celtics gems from the early 2000’s

Check out these two classic videos dug-up by Jay. The first is from a “Celtics Preview” show from 2002. Watch as a young younger Greg Dickerson tells everyone how excited he is about the addition of Vin Baker and how he feels ‘Toine and Truth will elevate their games to the level of Kobe and T-Mac. There are also appearances from Waltah, Jo Jo and “Coach” Willie Maye.

The second vid features a short hip-hop ode to Paul Pierce via ESPN’s Sportscenter. The video is from Game 4 of 2002’s classic playoff series between the C’s and Pacers. Enjoy:

Ahhhhh…The early 2000s. Does anyone remember this song:

    “The wonder of it all~
Take a chance, make it happen
    Pop the cork, fingers snappin’
Spin the wheel, round and round we go~~
Life is good, Life is sweet
Grab yourself a front row seat
    Let’s meet
    And have a baaaaaaaaall~
    Yeah, let’s live!
For the wonder~ of it all~~~
    FOXWOODS!”

My baby and I used to sing that song all the time.

Jo Jo White….the greatest player the HOF refuses to allow in.

He should`ve been admitted 15-20 years ago!

I still have a poster of the “youth movement” a few years later. It has Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Delonte West, and Justin Reed on it lol. Classic.
