See ya, Shav. C’s waive Randolph

As expected, Shavlik Randolph has become a victim of the numbers game.

This is the shitty business side of things, folks.  Shavlik Randolph played well in his role and is a very hard worker that could prove to be a solid, cheap contributor.  Meanwhile, the Celtics have 24 shooting guards right now, but because Jordan Crawford has a guaranteed $2.1 million, an erratic, volume scorer get will get to stay (for now).

The Celtics did add size they didn’t have last years, which also made Randolph a little more expendable.  Kelly Olynyk will get those minutes, as will a healthy Jared Sullinger.  Vitor Faverani will probably get a shot too.

It’s possible he’ll get a camp invite if other teams pass on him.  I think he’s done enough with his chance in Boston to get a look somewhere in the NBA when camp rolls around.

Dang you business! You’re no fun!

Hope Shav gets another gig…guy showed hustle and heart while on board with the celts.

Hopefully Shav gets another shot in the L, but there is great money to be made all over the globe. Just business, we brought in 3 new bigs and kept 2 that’s 5 players for 2 spots. Shav would have been number 6. All the other guys got guaranteed deals so he was the odd man out. Sad to see a tireless worker go.
Now we are down to 15 players but Nolan Smith gets a camp invite…..I think he will make it as Rondo’s back up and Pressey gets sent to Maine.

    Danny Ainge- genius……… NOT

He’ll catch on somewhere, he’s earned that. I’m sure if DA could get even a 2nd rounder for Crawford or Melo, he would have.
