Rondo sighting in the Caymans

Ah..the dog days of summer. That magical time of year when Celtics stories and/or news are few & far between. Well thank goodness for social media-Weibo to be specific. That’s where I found this photo of someone named Brad Partyka & our own Rajon Rondo.

Seems #9 is enjoying some time in the Cayman Islands, and this lucky fan got to snap a pic with him. It definitely appears that Rondo has bulked-up a bit..

Bulked up a bit? His upper body is ridiculous, lol. But that hat needs to go 🙂

      sun`s hot down there

Probly hasn’t done a whole lot of cardio with a torn ACL. Bound to put on a few lbs. I’m betting he’ll be back down to his normal wait by the time he gets back, whenever that will be.

I thought this ACL rehab was supposed to be the toughest thing an athlete will ever go through. So far all I’ve seen is Rondo ringside at fights, camp and islands. I’m hoping his injury wasn’t as bad and it’s not that he’s been dogging it.

Rondo would be the last person to dog it, he wants to get out there and play more than anyone. Even Ainge has said multiple times that his rehab is going great and on track for a return in the fall. A few photos of him at camp and ringside doesn’t mean anything. Just because they’re not filming him and taking pictures of him rehabbing doesn’t mean it’s not going on.

I agree, I think he comes back strong. Just wondering. Hoping he’s healthy and that’s why he’s on an island instead of a gym.

        • Because there are 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. Just because he’s photographed doing something somewhere, doesn’t mean that an hour or a day later he’s not somewhere else rehabbing. Rest is part of any workout routine, and when you’re rich, you can spend a few days of rest in the Cayman Islands and shoot back to wherever it is you continue rehabbing. I will also assume they have a gym somewhere there where he can work out if he needs to

The rehab can travel with you.

It`s never a good sign when the fan, posing with the athlete….is in better shape, has less body fat, and comes far closer to having a 6-pack.

Those shorts look like he waded through an acid pit.

Its gonna be the Rajon Rondo show this season, wouldn’t be surprised if he breaks Magic’s record.
