    $@#^@$&(*@#&($*

  • eddysamson

That was Sterling realizing CP3 would really be gone without this happening. I still don’t think its enough.

  • piecz

We should rob them. They need Doc and KG and they need them desperately. And desperation will increase.

  • Romeo

One first round pick? How is this a new deal when this is what they were offering before?

    • jrleftfoot

they were offering 2 seconds , according to reports.how much better could you do, knowing the guy doesn`t want to coach here?

  • Joanne Tran

    This Celtics-Clippers talk is annoying

  • istok

what does it mean ‘a FUTURE first round pick’?in which year’s draft?

    • KWAPT

      Been confirmed it’s 2015 1st-rd pick.

  • ShawnCVD

Clippers owe us interest now. It was a First rounder , now should be 2 …Then KG plus salary dump Terry or Lee .

    • istok

the deal is done. doc for 2015 first rounder

      • KWAPT

Technically not “done” yet. Stern/NBA still have to approve it tomorrow when league offices open..

        • Dustin Chapman

Which, I’m sure, will be another saga

          • frickenWaaaltah

Nah there’s nothing against the rules about this part.

What they probably won’t approve is any deal that lands KG on the Clippers in time for the 2013-2014 playoffs.

Wait till doc gets there then screw him by asking more for KG. Ask for Bledsoe or take Terry. I would give lee time, he always has a good season after a bad one. Maybe his value can increase.

  • Frank Aziza

When Doc gets to LA the celtics should screw him on the KG deal and demand Bledsoe as part of it. Lol

  • KWAPT

Here’s more on this from Jackie Mac. Also, it’s been reported by Woj, ESPN that it will be an unprotected 1st-rd pick in the 2015 draft: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9415256/los-angeles-clippers-verge-landing-doc-rivers-sources-say

  • forever_green

I hope KG say’s “no go” after Doc leaves.

  • TomBleedsGreen

When all is said and done doc won’t be a Celtic next year. Not by his doing. Danny is desperate for draft picks, KG will be traded for Jordan and a 1st rounder. Paul will be sold to anyone willing to pay a 1st rounder either now or mid season. As a STH this year should be interstig….

  • Mac7795

If Brian Shaw’s gonna be our next Head Coach, i’m fine with Doc leaving.
    That guy can Coach!

    • Lee in Oregon

I like Shaw too but I worry about the triangle not meshing with Rondo/Bradley

      • I bleed green in L.A.

I like Shaw too, or George Karl, or Hollins. No Byron Scott please. Good coaches need to adapt to the team, not adapt the team to the style they know.

  • jason benn

about time something happened with this its better then doc leaving and us getting a new coach with no extra chances to help rebuild. No matter what been said hate to see doc go wish him luck with the clippers clippers win next year and we win following year would be nice lol

  • Ryan

with doc in LA, I would think we could make a package deal with Pierce/KG, because there’s nobody who values them more than Doc, and he could pursued them. If he’s talking with Pierce and KG on the phone about coming to LA, he’s not going to fight to keep Bledsoe over them IMO. Doc doesn’t need to consider the future….between him and CP3, I think they can convince the GM/owner that they can win a title the next year or two and then salary off the books. I loved last years celtics at the START of the season with everybody healthy, and had confidence that they could win it all, based on the fact that they took Miami to 7 games the year before with NO bench and quite a few injuries. So now you look at the clippers with CP3(who could help KG/Pierce play better at this stage of their careers than Rondo), Blake Griffin(he’s only getting better), a few other solid pieces and Doc coaching, and they would be my favorites to win it all. Pg and post play dominate playoff basketball, and no teams are going to sag off CP3, which would give Pierce and KG(assuming they’re with the Clips) more room to operate.

  • I bleed green in L.A.

Bye bye Ubuntu. Thanks for being part of the 2008 team Doc, go get one for the Clipps, let that other Faker team know they have competition in their house.

  • KGino

haha yea cuz changing your coach matters that much…. somebody doesnt know the nba very well.

Oh no not our overrated coach for a draft pick! At least we get compensation when we lose our coach, what other teams can say that?

  • KGino

It’s being reported that no more celtic/clippers trades will be allowed this offseason.. only way around it is if they can do a 3 team trade.

  • Caterpillar from Italy

Sounds like a done deal, finally.

  • Brick James

Sayonora, Doc. Don’t let the front(running) door hit you on the way out.

As far as the next coach goes, why isn’t anyone mentioning JVG? I’d love me some Van Gundy in Boston, and not of the Stan variety.
