Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
ESPN Boston: C’s To Play In Canada Series:
The Boston Celtics will play the Minnesota Timberwolves in a preseason game at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Oct. 20 as part of the second annual NBA Canada Series. For the Celtics, it’s another preseason excursion outside the United States borders, having traveled to Turkey and Italy as part of NBA Europe Live last season (which also sent them to Rome before the 2007-08 campaign). This one is a bit more travel friendly as the Celtics often head north of the border to play Atlantic Division foe Toronto in the preseason anyhow.
“The NBA Canada Series captures the unique experience of a live NBA game for our fans outside of Toronto, and helps fuel the increasing interest in our game across the country,” said Dan MacKenzie, vice president and general manager of NBA Canada. “Montreal is a great sporting city and we look forward to returning this year with another exciting matchup.”
If you’re a member of Celtics Nation that lives up in Canada, you can score tickets for the game starting this Saturday via the Bell Centre box office.
They say road trips like this are good for team bonding. But the big question on every Celtics fans’ mind right now obviously is who will be on the team. As of yesterday, the two main pieces of the puzzle, Doc and KG still hadn’t given definitive answers. Steve Bulpett of the Herald was on Sports Tonight yesterday giving his take on why Doc hasn’t made his decision yet.
