Behind the scenes of Sullinger’s back surgery and rehab

Chuck - Red's Army June 7, 2013 Celtics News, Jared Sullinger 7 Comments

New on Celtics.com, Jared Sullinger: The Road to Recovery.

It’s worth the 8 minutes.

“Couldn’t sit up, couldn’t stand. Could barely walk. I was like a frozen bear.”

Amazing that in the span of 48 hours, Sullinger went from feeling and playing great to season-ending surgery.

Love that Sully saved a clip of Stephen A. Blowhole saying he wouldn’t draft him in the 1st or 2nd round.

Can’t wait to see this kid tear up the court next season.

I watched this earlier this morning so I apologize if I missed it, but has anyone heard how he’s looking schedule wise? Will he be ready for training camp? Will he be ready for the pre-season? Season?

Great kid with a great attitude, I really hope his back will be ok. I’m sure he had the best of care but I’ve never heard of someone having back surgery and then being “fixed” …….they usually end up being someone with a “bad back” for the rest of their lives. Would love to see this kid back where he left off- pulling down offensive boards for the C’s.

    Go Spurs

This is what i wonder about. Does anyone know if surgery is supposed to take care of his chronic back issues altogether or did it just take care of that disc he injured in Sacramento?

I really hope he’s fine – back issues suck hard. As a Celtic he should be very exciting to watch next season.
