Last time

The Celtics offense disintegrated in a 90-78 loss to New Orleans back in January. New Orleans has won four of five meetings with the Celtics. Seriously.

This time

Get it to:  Jason Terry

The Hornets 2nd unit is rather thin in the backcourt – Roger Mason, Brian Roberts and Terrel Harris. I’m expecting JET to play with a chip on his shoulder, especially since the LeBron James dunk is still an issue.

Gotta stop:  Anthony Davis

Can KG’s strained adductor (he’s definitely playing) keep up with the young Anthony Davis? The #1 overall draft pick is averaging 17.3 points and 10.3 rebounds in his last six games. New Orleans is an average offensive team, but they excel in transition and on the offensive glass.

The Wild Card: Greivis Vasquez

The best point guard you’ve never heard of is averaging a season best 17.8 ppg and 46% shooting in March. He’s not the fastest guy on the floor, but he somehow manages to get into the paint for lay-ups and runners. He’s also good for 9 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Do not sleep on Greivis.

How we see it goin’ down

This is a classic letdown game. The Celtics are coming off an emotional and exhausting battle with Miami. Might they still be thinking about the Heat?

They have to be careful with the Hornets, a team that can run and score off hustle points.

It will be relatively close, but there’s no way the Celtics are getting swept by Nawlins.

    Dear Celtics,
please do not take this team lightly. Put them away early and get some PT for guys like White and Randolph.

I’m still a bit shell shocked from the last time they beat us. We literally had no desire to win that game. Hopefully we buckle down and take the next two games before the challenge in Memphis.

Start Jeff Green over Bass. JG play better with Pierce and Bass plays crap either with or withour PP.

Same old song & dance w/this year’s team-they need to take care of the ball, run and hit their free-throws. If they do that, they’ll be fine. In the loss on 1/16 they missed 10 FT’s, couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn from three & had 15 to’s that led to 21 pts for N.O.

Lets hope the Celtics don’t play down to the competition.
