Last time

Detroit embarrassed the Celtics, 103-83, in the first match-up this season. The Pistons have won three straight at home against the Celtics by an average of 15 points. Yeah, I can’t believe it either.

This time

Get it to:  Jeff Green

Call me crazy, but the Celtics can’t win without Green being aggressive. They’re 11-7 in games where he scores double digits. There’s no reason why he can’t attack Kyle Singler and/or Austin Daye. With Paul Pierce struggling (32% FG in last three games), Green’s output is critical.

Gotta stop:  Greg Monroe

This 7-footer is turning into a Celtics killer. He’s averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds while shooting 64% in the last four vs Boston.

The Wild Card:  Jared Sullinger

The Pistons have some big, physical frontcourt players. In addition to Monroe, former UConn Husky Andre Drummond is averaging 9 points and 9 rebounds over his last ten games. The bruising Jason Maxiell is shooting 53% this month. The Celtics NEED Jared Sullinger to continue his monster efforts on the boards.

How we see it goin’ down

This game might come down to the second units. Detroit’s bench ranks 7th in ppg (37). And the Celtics margin for error gets thinner with Mr. Energy Avery Bradley (sore ribs) questionable.

After the last two performances, I’m back to complete frustration with this team.

I asked the Magic 8 ball about the Celtics chances of winning. I’m told the “outlook is not good.”

i got so excited after our win streak and i was so confident we would make at least 8 straight with the sorry teams we were playing… we are one of em. i think were gonna loose tonight or win an ugly one. i can say this with 100% certainty now. im sold, WE NEED A TRADE. we need a big man and a back up point gaurd. i would see if the suns would give up gortat and kendal marshal… just a thought

    So who do we trade?

  • Kay in Atlanta

KG said that it hurts to lose the last game. So they will bounce back!!! Dang!! They better be.

Ok. Falcons lost. I don’t care!! Celtics and Patriots are going to win tonight! Must win!!
