Boston Celtics                           18/1

“Looking at our NBA championship odds, one thing really stands out and that is that only three teams are under 10-1 to win it all and is pretty much a three horse race with the Heat favored to repeat at 11/5, the Lakers at 5/2, and the Thunder at 9/2.Even at these short odds these three teams have taken the most money along with the Boston Celtics who we opened at 25-1 who I have now dropped down to 18-1.”

Is Derrick Rose coming back with a bionic knee? Unless he does, I just don’t see how Chicago is a bigger threat than Boston. In fact, I’m insulted the Celtics are only at 18-1.

But there’s something about the number 18..

I love it!! I hope everyone keeps hating on the Boston Celtics…keep doubting them. Keep saying our core is too old…keep saying it’s between the Heat,Lakers, and Thunder….keep talking about the Nets and Knicks and Bynum coming to Philly…just keep ignoring the greatest franchise in sports. We like it that way. Go Celts!!

Without Rose at 100%, Chicago is a non-factor.

Spurs remain overrated…knocking themselves out during the regular season, only to get “exposed” in the playoffs.

Perfect, Celtics smash 18-1 odds stacked against them to win number 18. This team thrives on being the underdog.

Realistically, the Cs IMO have about a 1 in 8 chance of winning it all this year. The Heat and Thunder have no better than a 1 in 3 chance (combine them and that is 2/3rds of the likely outcomes or maybe 65%). I give the Lakers an equal shot as do the Cs (so that covers another 25% of the likely outcomes). That leaves 10% of the likely outcomes remaining between the Bulls, Spurs and Clippers or whoever.

In other words, INVEST IN CELTICS.

Remember, odds are generally based on the ‘wisdom’ of the crowd.

Miami has the best odds and worst payoff because people have put more money on them than on any other team.

Chicago is a big city and has a national fan base and these are gamblers, not doctors.

Same deal with LA – having so many fans willing to gamble based on fan sentiment makes them always a bit overrated and underpaying. I mean come on, they are supposed to be a safer bet than the Thunder even? Really??
