Jared Sullinger isn’t interested in tattoos

There will be no ink for Celtics rookie Jared Sullinger:

“No tattoos,” he recently told CSNNE.com. “I promised my mother. You know if you break a promise, you’re not going to be living for the next days (laughs). I want to live as long as I can, so I’m not going to break that promise.”

That’s not the only promise Sullinger, the youngest of three brothers, made to his mother, Barbara.

The ink he wants to show her will be on his college diploma. Sullinger left Ohio State after his sophomore year and plans to complete his degree online. He took one course this summer while preparing to start his NBA career.

“I want my degree in sports management,” Sullinger said. “I go back to school because I promised my mother I would finish. Again, you know how that goes with mothers. You promise, you better fulfill.”

You gotta respect the promises made to mom. If you don’t, you’ll never hear the end of it. Although it will be tough for Sullinger to keep his word, especially when he’s out on the road with teammates who are getting tatted up.

I couldn’t be happier with my new Steelers tattoo.

I’m starting to like this kid a little more. I don’t think he will turn out to be the ‘steal of the draft’ but rather a good pick right about where he should have been.

I think there’s a decent chance he’ll have a better career than 5-8 of the players selected before him

Tattoos don’t make you a man. Talk about NBA players with nothing better to do with their time. Think the Celtics are gonna be top of the East this season. JS is a great addition to this group.
