Kris Joseph’s College Kicks

Celtkicks June 29, 2012 CeltKicks 11 Comments

When the Celtics took Kris Joseph with the 51st pick in the 2012 NBA Draft they took a serious sneakerhead.  Kris was known for wearing wild colorways while leading Syracuse in scoring.  Chris wore numerous colorways of numbered Jordans, Lebrons, and Melo’s during his time in Syracuse.  Here are his sneaker highlights:

Air Jordan XI Concord

Jordan Brand Melo 6

Air Jordan 9

Jordan Brand Melo 8

Really? R we talking about his sneakers?

Please post a real article about Joseph. Idc about his sneakers along with most basketball fans. I am very intrigued by this pick and his talent. Leading scorer at Syracuse is no joke and part of me sees him as a steal. What do you think of his game and potential as a Celtic swingman of the future? And what do you think of the Celtics setting the trend of taking their second round pick from the same team as their first round pick? Just coincidence or are they on to something ?

Actually- I appreciated this article.. as a huge basketball fan, I am also a huge sneakerhead. If you don’t like the article, don’t read it.

Well I was looking for a quality write up on Joseph, and I figured if I were to find one anywhere, it would be redsarmy. I was excited to see something about Joseph and then dissapointed to realize this article was all sneakers and zero analysis. How are you going to prioritize his shoes before his actual skillset? Wake up A.D. its all about what he does on the floor. Sneakerheads are fine with me but if this is a legit Celtics bball blog site, I really dont want the first article on our brand new draft pick to be about the shoes he plays in. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me? Im curious to John’s and Chuck’s opinions on Kris’s potential. Joseph is the first athletic, young, and tall swingman we have had in a while and I love the pick. Somebody please give this guy a write up.

Dan, I agree. Shoes don’t have the priority at this stage of things. We can talk about that later. We will be coming up on some dead time very soon, so for now lets hear about our latest acquisition. I am excited about this pick as well. We have been able to get some great picks in the second round over the years. What is the potential here?

Both of you are haters and don’t read the links before you click them apparently..

  • uh huh

You don’t care about his sneakers “along with most basketball fans”?!? Are you friggin kidding me. Look at just about every ball site, most of ‘em have their own section for kicks on the top menu and post pics of the newest Jordans whenever they come out. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

    • A.D.

Truth.. maybe it’s cause we’re different demographics but don’t go clicking on an article that says “Kris Joseph’s College Kicks” if you want on-the-floor analysis. Seems like YOU need to wake up.

We have a new feature now that focuses solely on sneakers. The Celtkicks section of our site is strictly for that.

Write ups on Joseph will come. This piece is for our Celtkicks section.

Boston needs to send both Oranges to Houston for Royce White. I know he’s a bit of a head case, but he could easily be Pierce’s replacement with proper coaching and some of Stiemboat’s meds… Love ya Stiemy!

lol at the haters.. This is celtkicks..
