Bradley had surgery on BOTH shoulders

John - Red's Army (@RedsArmy_John) May 26, 2012 Avery Bradley, Celtics News, Injuries 5 Comments

Meanwhile, Bradley is resting after surgery Friday on both shoulders, a source with direct knowledge of the situation tells WEEI.com. He was the only Celtics player not in attendance at the Saturday morning shootaround.

The source confirms that Bradley had surgery on Friday and is expecting a summer-long rehab program that could last up to four months. If all goes as expected, Bradley should be ready for training camp in October.

Holy shit.  Man, this kid's a freakin' warrior.  I know the other shoulder was an issue, but I didn't think it had to be surgically repaired.

Unreal.

It makes sense. I heard both shoulders were popping out. He might have what I have which is called ‘lax joints’. Both of my shoulders pop out and if you’re damaging both rotator cuffs then it’s only logical that you’d have to have surgery on both. The crappy thing about it for him is that he’s gonna have both arms in slings for a couple months. Simple tasks like taking a shower with even just one sling sucks. I can’t imagine two at the same time. You can’t move the surgery arm, you have to hold it up in the sling position while you’re in the shower so how’s he gonna wash himself?
He’s gonna have to do rehab for a while too. The 4 months sound about right.

The Celtics should provide Avery a cheerleader of his choosing to assist him in his daily needs…

If I were picking a group of people to go to war with, Avery Bradley is on my list.

haha, yes. I’m sure that would alleviate some of his pain.
