this may sound stupid, but are these videos sped up slightly? Some look faster than the real play while others make me think that maybe it is real time, but that the constant replay is making it seem faster.

Not stupid at all. You are correct. The guy who “creates” the GIFs sometimes has to speed some of them up a hair. It’s the only way to capture the entire play within the GIF file.
