Now that was fun. The Celtics demolished the Hawks for 48 minutes tonight and took a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

I don't know where to begin. The Celtics dominated from the start. The lead was 13 after one, 23 at the half and 37 in the 3rd quarter. They dominated every phase of the game.

Rajon Rondo (20 points, 8-11 FG, 16 assists, 3 steals, 1 TO) and Paul Pierce (24 points, 10-13 FG in 18 minutes) kicked ass.

The only hiccup was Pierce's knee injury. It looked like he bumped knees in the 2nd quarter. I'm guessing he'll be fine.

UPDATE: Pierce said he sprained the knee during the shoot around and reaggravated the injury during the game.

This wire-to-wire blowout was exacly what the doctor (Rivers) ordered. While Rondo played 35 minutes, all the other major players logged fewer than 30 minutes.

In the history of the league, only 8 teams have won a series after trailing 3-1. Tuesday night is time for the Celtics to finish the Hawks.

A nice thorough ass-kicking, they were due to play a good game but I dont think anyone expected insane shooting like that. Hell, even Quisy hit an 18 footer. I think the defense got to the Hawks too, they looked pretty dejected at the end, especially for a team that came out throwing elbows all over the place. We won a Joey Crawford officiated game, that’s a very good sign. Looking more and more like C’s vrs 6ers in the next round.
Without further ado…….Paul- tell em about #9

Boom, baby! Ha-ha! That’s the way champions play! Let’s drop the hammer in Atlanta and get some rest!

Pierce is just a brilliant player. I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy him for 14 seasons now. There may not be a player who has more swagger when he and his team are on fire. I’m just soaking up this last run with the new big 3 and enjoying every win along the way. Should we get Philly in the next round and homecourt, we have a chance to make some history.

What I said after game 3. Win the next won big nobody will remember or care how bad you looked winning this one. Does it matter now Boston stuck up the joint Friday? Nope. They won. And now this series is all but over.

Now THAT is a Rondo game. He controled the paced from the jump, every jumper, drive or pass was the right choice. This is the Rondo i love. I’d still like to see Bass get more involved, but that’s nitpicking.
Now, it’s a matter or taking care of business. I have a feeling they will in Game 5.

Man..now THAT was fun. C’s were so overdue for an offensive explosion after the poor to mediocre offense in 1st 3. If Pierce doesn’t tweak that knee he would’ve easily dropped 30+. Love this squad. Garden was The Jungle again tonight-and it’s only the 1st round..

Agreed^^^. Its always Rondos fault when we lose even though he has a good game in the loss.

You guys HAVE TO read the comments on the Atlanta Hawks Blogs by their fans. It just cracked me up, they are so furious.

Wow, now that’s what I’m talking about. The view from Section 11 was amazing tonight. Lots of great moments tonight. I haven’t been to a C’s game since the spurs loss by 1 point. I really wanted to see Gino tonight and the C’s came threw. Bring on the 76ers Game 1 is in BOSTON!!!!

A blow out win against hawks. This was long overdue.

  • I bleed green in L.A.

I’d rather have Chicago at this point
