Recap: Bradley, Garnett lead Celtics over Nets

Is there anything Avery Bradley can't do? The kid nailed three three-pointers during a decisive third quarter run that propelled the Celtics to a 92-84 victory in New Jersey.

Bradley (18 points, 7-14 FG) looked like Ray Allen during the 3rd quarter. He'd drift to an open spot, get the ball from Rajon Rondo (15 assists) and nail jumper after jumper after jumper after jumper. Bradley is shooting 55% from 3 this month.

Old man KG had 21 points (8-16 FG) and 12 rebounds. Is this dude ever going to run out of gas? Brandon Bass (18 points, 11 rebounds) was fantastic, too.

Paul Pierce (17 points, 6-16 FG) suffered some type of minor toe injury jammed his left big toe. It's possible he will sit out tomorrow's game in Charlotte. Ray Allen missed his second straight game. He's not expected to play tomorrow.

The Celtics were aggressive on the boards and it paid off. They out-rebounded NJ 51-42.

The team bus didn't arrive at the arena until an hour before tip-off because of traffic.

The Nets Deron Williams had 12 points on 3-12 shooting.

Ryan Hollins was quite efficient, collecting 4 fouls in 2 minutes of garbage time.

After the jump, a couple of highlights worth watching.

That “Five Minutes of Funk” in the 3rd was amazing. Rondo literally flipped-on his turbo mode and took over. His driving into the paint freed up Bradley for those 3 threes. Stiemsma’s D was also key over that stretch. But I can’t stress enough how dangerous Rondo and AB are together-especially in transition. Hot damb. And of course Mr. Garnett aka The Constant. This guy has been so reliable. Huge win tonight. C’s did not want to go into Charlotte w/out Pierce & Ray, exhausted, after 2 losses.

They should really reward Stiemsma with a long contract before some one else takes notice of his increasin talent.

Avery is becoming a really good pro. Love his game.

Avery’s had afew coming out parties already this year, but this goes to show how far he’s come confidence wise. How DA keeps getting these late 1st rounders to pan out so well is amazing. Hopefully they take care of biz tomorrow and don’t look ahead to that Knick game.

Right now, they have an option on him for next year. I hope they keep him around, he’s certainly gonna play somewhere.
