    Shorty never gets any credit

to be fair, a lot of Rondo’s assists are from guys hitting perimeter shots. To his credit, he’s drawing three defenders and that creates a wide open look for guys like KG and Pierce. You can’t give KG and Pierce a wide open jump shot from 14 feet and expect them to brick it every time. However, they’re still jump shots and because this team shoots at such a high percentage, he could literally have 10 assists at halftime off of 15 jump shot attempts. that’s a stat to look up: how many assists are generated from jump shot attempts? i love me some rondo and the way he played yesterday gives hope to a promising playoff run, barring injuries. he had it going yesterday and it was fun to watch. let’s be honest, Pierce had the better week. Rondo doesn’t tally up those assists, if Pierce doesn’t hit those shots.
