Enemy Chatter: No excessive celebration after air ball

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Atlanta.

Kevin Garnett, when asked if Jeff Teague’s dunk on Ray Allen and subsequent taunting in the third quarter angered the Celtics.

“I don’t even know who you are talking about. That guy’s a nobody.’’

No Hawk was assessed a technical foul for excessive celebration after Teague closed out the home loss with an air ball on a three-point attempt.

Definitely enjoyed reading the Hawks blogs this morning. They bashed Jeff Teague and Josh Smith nearly as much as we did.

On Page 2, no love for Celtics fans in Atlanta.

And for whoever was at the game

are there more annoying fans in the nba than them. I honestly wanted to ask all of them “have you ever been to Boston?”

Peach Tree Hoops (commenter)

We touched on this in the Morning Dump. The Celtics contingent was very strong last night. Maybe the best I've ever seen for a road game.

The Hawks are usually in the lower-third of team attendence rankings. If I was a Hawks fan, I'd rather see those seats empty than filled with green.

  • off the topic question: if the clippers make the playoffs, do the c’s get their 1st round pick in this year draft via Jeff Green trade.. thanks

  • KY Celts fan

yep. It’s a top 10 protected pick, so if Clippers are in the playoffs, it can be 15 at best. More than likely, it will be around 23rd or 24th pick. It’s a deeper draft than most so it’s a good possibility to get a surprise pick here.

  • excellent. that’s what i was presuming, but wasn’t sure technically were things stood. we definitely need that pick sooner vs. later.

  • Next three Clippers games are very interesting to us…@Pacers, @OKC, @Hornets all in three nights. Only 4 games separate the 8th seed from their position (4th). There’s an outside chance that LAC finish with a worse record than Boston…

  • since billups went down clips have been playing .500 bb. hence the question if they (clips) make the playoffs, do the celts get the pick? simple answer: what does history tell us, clips find a way to fail..egh

  • Thanks for finally posting a picture of Rondo “guarding” his man. lol

  • We’ll see who win this semi finals. They Celtics should guard each others action.
