Pietrus, Wilcox may not play tonight

RedsArmyAdmin March 9, 2012 Uncategorized 4 Comments

When I read Pietrus (right knee), I get a little queasy.  That's his surgically repaired knee and the knee that keeps him from showing his full abilities, turning him into primarily a spot-up shooter.

I'm in the midst of putting our game preview together now… and this is sapping my confidence in a bounce-back game.

UPDATE:  Doc Rivers said pregame that both guys are out for tonight.  He hopes both can return for Sunday's game

As of late, Pietrus has been shooting pretty badly… and if it’s his surgically repaired knee causing this issue, then it’s definitely something to worry about.
He’s been quite worried when it comes to going for layups and dunks… I hope all goes well with Pietrus.

Near the end of the Philly game, Pietrus was coming-off the floor after Doc called a timeout. Doc walked right-up to Pietrus, grabbed him and pointed him immediately in the direction of the locker room. Ed Lacerte followed him in. And then I heard nothing from the media. But you could tell Pietrus wasn’t himself the last few games. Looks like either Marquis or Sasha could get some good minutes tonight…
