Enemy Chatter: The Celtics have amazing discipline

Chatter

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Oklahoma.

Go back and watch the Celtics’ discipline. It is amazing. They play the same way whether they’re up by 10 or down by 20. They don’t force shots when they get down. They don’t freeze each other out. They run through their sets and remain committed to their system. It’s extremely impressive to watch. That’s where the Thunder is trying to get. And someday, the Thunder will.

Is that what that is – discipline? I thought it was apathy.

On Page 2, more love for Avery Bradley.

Bradley’s bunnies! My goodness. Homeboy can get up. You clearly can see why he drew comparisons by some to Westbrook when he was coming out of college. He posterized KD tonight on one of his dunks.

(An aside: I really like Avery Bradley. He's young and prone to mistakes, but boy is he fierce.)

Welcome to Loud City

The league is started to recognize the raw athletic talent possessed by Avery Bradley.

Maybe that will increase his trade value. I'm kidding… kinda.

    okie dokie artichokies- good thing that wasn’t another embarrassing blow-out at home

    These Celtics are proving what Red Auerbach stated years ago : “The object of the game is to put the ball in the basket. To do that, you must first get players who can get you the ball. You need rebounders”.
    Not a coincidence : The Celtics have 1 win in their last 8 games…it was the only game during that span they out-rebounded their opponent. {Feb. 12 vs. Chicago}

    donny marshall’s been preaching the same.. it’s about raw talent. adding these band aides is not a permanent solution, but in retrospect this was a “bridge year” + lock out season. danny wasn’t willing to make the tough choice in breaking up the core, he better be hiding an ace. this off season will define danny.

    I agree.
    As the saying goes, “you can`t teach height”….which is the first requisite to being a good rebounder.
    I give Danny credit for trying…he went hard after David West, but luck wasn`t with him.
    There were low expectations going into the season, so this is not overly devastating.

    x2, and when celtic fans bitch about trading rondo or blowing up the core.. your prev comment is true- this team was a david west and jeff green from being contenders. now the elders are gassed out and taxed and asshole fans can’t grasp that concept.
