KG, Pietrus doubtful tomorrow

RedsArmyAdmin February 14, 2012 Uncategorized 10 Comments

I remember them saying KG was grabbing at his hip during the Bulls game, and it turns out that he's having some problem with his hip flexor.  So KG's doubtful for tomorrow.

Mickael Pietrus is having a knee issue.  I'm not sure what that's about.  Keyon Dooling's problem is that he's made of the same material Jermaine O'Neal is made of.

Luckily, the Celtics are facing the Pistons, and there's some debate right now whether the Kentucky Wildcats could give them a run for their money.  But still, considering how fresh that Friday night shit storm is in our minds… I don't want to take anything for granted.

Yeah, the Wildcats could take them!
I hope this KG injury doesn’t become a lasting thing. Or the Pietrus one. Or the Bass one. There’s no hope for JO or Dooling.

all-star break couldn’t come soon enough.. good thing they’ll be getting much needed rest. it’s going to be a bar fight to the finish!

    SASHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh-oh….36 year old KG suffers his first injury of the season.

great thing they traded for Dooling as opposed to signing Delonte West for half the money. They’ll both miss games, but at least Delonte is someone to look forward to

  • James Eisenman

Ugh! Maybe I should email Doc and tell him I’m ready to suit up for free. The Celtics could use a 59 year old power forward. At least I know how to block out! lol. Sounds more like Stiemer Time!!!!!! Loving it. Maybe he can do a Jeremy Lin thing and prove to Doc that he deserves Jermain’s spot, regularly. Come on Stiemer, Daddy’s rooting for you. Stiemer, Wilcox, Pierce, Allen and Rondo. Two hall-of-famers, two virgins-waiting-to-be-sacrificed and the “which-one-will-show-up-tonight” guy. This should be interesting. Go Stiemer, go Stiemer!!!

its easy to dwell on this team, at this point of the season. everyone knew guys were getting old but you can’t blame management for guys getting hurt. dooling over delonte was a solid move, especially since delonte is much more injury prone than dooling. plus, delonte is a space cadet and the C’s have enough distraction this season. its just unfortunate that dooling is out.

unfortunately, doc will never start a rookie over a veteran. It’s painful to watch Jermaine play ball. When he has the ball, it’s almost like he slows down but the speed of the game never changes. it’s amazing how guys like olajuwon and kareem played into their 40′s (olajuwon until 39 yrs old) and were still putting up decent numbers but a guy like Jermaine literally stops overnight at 32.

Kareem played his first pro season at age 22, Hakeem 21. JO was 18.

  • Lee in Oregon

JO was a pro at 18 but he rarely played at all in his 1st 4 years in Portland….Sheed got most of the minutes and Cliff Robinson got some and JO got some garbage time.
