Rose, O’Neal out today, Bass out 10 days

There are multiple reports out ther about injuries re-shaping todays game.  Here it is in a nutshell:

  • Derrick Rose (back) is out today
  • Jermaine O'Neal (shoulder) is out today and is day-to-day
  • Brandon Bass (knee) is out at least a week, probably 10 days
  • Keyon Dooling (hip) and Avery Bradley (shoulder) are active

I'm hoping Doc laid some smack down and informed the Celtics that losing to a Rose-less Bulls would re-open the "trade everyone" floodgates.  And the anti-Rondo movement lately is in overdrive.. so let's hope John Lucas doesn't have a big game or else it will get exponentially worse.

Personally, I think you're all nuts if you think an All Star snub would derail this kid.  After all he done… playing through elbow and wrist injuries and constantly sacrificing his body… I think the treatment he gets sometimes is overboard.  He definitely deserves criticism, but for some reason with Rondo it's all-or-nothing.

It would be nice to see a good game out of him today to end this noise.

Rajon’s inconsistent play and lack of mental toughness some games makes him an easy target for haters. Rajon sets the pace for the team and doesn’t warrant taking a night off for any reason.

Great Game C’s – Rondo et al – Ok so were getting down to All Star break…. i would like to offer Doc this recco. Take the All Star week and have a training camp. Maybe not as hi-test as what would have occurred per season= if there really had been a pre-season. but keep the guys in town or fly them all to some nice warm resort Cancun (?) where everyone could work together, Get physical therapy, do Pilates and Yoga and practice like mad. Make sure to have a bunch of flat screens and it would way good.
