Enemy Chatter: Celtics kicked sand in face of Magic

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Orlando.

The Magic have been accused of being the kid who gets sand kicked in its face before.

And they did nothing to stop the reputation in two losses to the Celtics this week.

A guy who just arrived last season — shooting guard Jason Richardson — said after the Magic blew a 27-point lead, “The guys know that we didn’t come out in the second half like we were supposed to. To go and give up a lead like that?

“We have to figure out a way to maintain stuff like that, lik ehow to play with leads like that or when teams put pressure on us.

“It’s folding like that. We don’t want to get that reputation..that we’re soft.”

Said Glen Davis, “You could see things unraveling, turnovers….and Boston smelled blood. They smelled pressure, and we didn’t do a good job of countering.”

I've said it a billion times. I don't understand how the league's most imposing physical specimen can be the lead wussy on a soft team. Dwight Howard needs a little Andrew Bynum in him. Or better yet, he can learn how to scowl and rough up players from KG when he's in Boston next year.

This blog is so much more fun when the Celtics are bullies.

Dwight needs to take a few lessons from The Beast, Kendrick Perkins! That’s how you get angry and push your way around.

Monday night and half of last night were finally old school bully days for the Celtics. You could see it in PP wasting 12 seconds walking up to the top of the 3 point line and dropping a bomb, I hate to say it, but Kobe style. Balls.
Everybody bodying up on D, even the kids, Doc played a rookie the entire 4th quarter, when was the last time that happened?
KG with 4, yes 4 blocks, woah! When KG gets sweating, he’s at his best, intense, and Doc made a good call letting him play a lot at the end of the game last night. He had the same look in his eyes, just older, that he had in the game on NBAtv as a twolve in 04, a big old bully.
If D12 doesn’t get traded this season, there is no way he cannot look at Boston as a team to, yes get him a title, but also put some nuts in those Disney pants he wears. Really, he can see two former teammates, Bass and MP, who both are playing better in Boston, and BBD who sux even worse since leaving.
I like watching the Celtics, but when they play like recently with some swagger and hustle, it is more fun.

Doc Rivers would be the best thing that ever happened to dwight Howard.

It just NEEDS to happen, Dwight is destined to be a Celtic. Make it so, Danny.
