KG urges his Chinese fans to send him to ASG 2012

KWAPT January 19, 2012 Uncategorized 10 Comments

Sadly, Kevin Garnett does not have a Twitter account. But folks over in China are lucky enough to have him on "Weibo". Weibo is a Chinese social media site that is very similar to Twitter where users share their thoughts, pictures and videos. KG recently posted this update, urging fans in China to send him to his 15th NBA All-Star Game: "It's that time again, i need All My true fans to Vote for Me for My 15th NBA All-Star Game, let's make History China"

Anta, the Chinese company that supplies KG with his kicks, has joined in the promotion, releasing this banner on their website and Weibo account. Oh, and be sure to vote for all the Celtics here.

At least KG has stood up for something in his life, John. Enjoy being a hater.

Amen. Folks are quick to name-call, put-down and turn their backs during times of trouble. One-word: FRAUDS.

Who cares if I were him I’d do it as well 15 straight breaks the record doesn’t it? I’d wanna break it as well. I’m sure he’s not the only player to have asked people to vote themselves in. Haters gonna hate. I agree KG isn’t playing well this year then does this and everyone has a cry and starts hating well I got new for ya he’s not the only player under performing on this team.

I agree. Players go as far now as making videos, (see Bosh, Chris)fake ads, etc. His play thus far is definitely not worthy of being an all-star-that I have no problem admitting.

Since the All-Star game is, by it’s structure, a popularity contest, I really don’t see why anyone has a problem with this. If you want an All-Star game based on merits or stats, petition the league. But if it’s fan voting, then don’t be surprised when fans are encouraged to vote.
