Taking Stock: C’s-Wizards home-and-home

Taking stock

After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players… and maybe coach's… performance.  If we like what we see, we're buyin'.  If we don't, we're sellin'.  Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game

BuyRajon Rondo: He's here so much I'm going to make him part of the template.  The triple-double in game 1 earns the spot, though.  Remember, he's playing with a hurt ankle.  Bonus points for that too.

Ray Allen: 61.1% from 3.  61.1% from 3. 61.1% from 3.  61.1% from 3. No matter how many times I type it… still kind of unbelievable.

Paul Pierce: For a guy who's still at 80% and only one practice under his belt, dropping 21 points in the 2nd half of the back-to-back is pretty amazing.  They needed it in that second game too.

SellAll things considered, there's no one to sell after that series.

HoldAvery Bradley: I'm upgrading him for one simple reason:  His on-ball defense was stellar on many occasions.  I wish there was some magic potion we could find to get this kid some legitimate offense lest he become the new Tony Allen.

Greg Stiemsma:  A hold for one simple reason:  We're all getting a little TOO enamored with this kid.  He still gets pushed around too much underneath the basket.  His 7 rebounds in game 2 could have been 12 rebounds. Javale McGee had 14 boards, which is way too much.

I like Stemsma and I'm enjoying the blocked shots and all that.  All I'm saying let's temper out enthusiasm a smidge to give him a legitimate chance here.  If we get too out of control with Stiemsma fever, then the expectations will get too big for him to fulfil.

    Absolutely.
Steamer is going to help this club, but he is not the second coming of Perk just yet. But then again Perk was also compared to the greatest defensive center of all time after being dealt to OKC.

Can we sell Wilcox? He was a total stiff out there. Looked completely lost and had hands like bricks.
