Doc Rivers: The game has to be about the players

Doc Rivers had this to say about the two hideous 4th quarter technical fouls issued by Joey Crawford:

“Fourth-quarter technicals on our team are not allowed,’’ Rivers said. “That being said, the game has to be about the players. All right? I mean, c’mon. I thought both teams were complaining just the same, and we got the two techs. The game has to be about the players on the floor. That’s it.”

Joey "Look at me" Crawford whistled Sasha Pavlovic and Jermaine O'Neal for technical fouls in the 4th quarter. He appeared to T-up Pavlovic for embellishing contact initiated by Carmelo Anthony. I'm looking forward to Joey making the same call on LeBron James in every future Heat game he officiates.

My memory of the O'Neal tech is a bit foggy, but I don't believe Jermaine was even looking at or speaking to Crawford when he was whistled.
