Not only was he knocking down jumpers, but he was pulling up for them without any hesitation – something he did not do nearly enough of last season.
"We want him to just shoot it," said coach Doc Rivers. "I don't care how many times he shoots."
[…] Against the Raptors, Rondo had six free throw attempts (he made 5) while playing about 23 minutes. To put that in perspective, Rondo only had five games all season last year in which he attempted six or more free throws.
"That's . . . we need that," Rivers said.
Rondo was calmly knocking down those jumpers with a motion that looked a lot more fluid than usual.
Could it be Rondo has been working on his shooting? AND he has an improved attidude??
Man, those trade rumors really did screw him up.

On Page 2: The C's are still shopping the free agent market
The Celtics are in the market for a free agent, and likely will cut the roster to 14 players to keep a spot open, coach Doc Rivers said last night.
“First come first served,’’ Rivers said of the team’s search. “We’re looking around. I still think there’ll be buyouts probably starting [today]. So many things can happen, we want to make sure we can do it quick.’’
Rivers did not announce cuts after last night’s 81-73 win over the Raptors at TD Garden and likely will have a 15-man roster at least until tomorrow, he said.
I'm sure we can "waive" goodbye (… oh stop groaning) to Michael Sweetney. Jamal Sampson was allegedly on the roster, but he's not going to be for long. And then Gilbert Brown will likely be the final cut getting the roster down to 14.
And since I'm a betting man, I'm going to bet the C's look for help at the 2. There's no way any quality size gets released, so the C's might look for some kind of 2-guard with a little scoring punch that gets cut today. We'll keep an eye on it.
