In this interview from today's media day at Waltham, Marquis explains just how much last year's neck/spinal injury affected him. He also gives his reason for choosing to wear #4 this year, and tells a great story about a hospital visit he received while recovering from surgery.

Guys like Marquise are perfect to have on this team. Despite his setbacks, he continues to work hard and keep the right attitude. And the fact that he’s so humble and thankful for everything makes his presence that much more special. I truly believe that if he can remain injury free, Marquise Daniels will be one of the best offseason signings in the NBA.

Yeah, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I remember every time he came into a game, when he was healthy, he would give the team a big lift. I like Marquis and his diamond encrusted replica of his own head, lol

Exactly Mike. I know I’m biased being a big fan of his, but I agree-when healthy, this guy has a knack for finding the basket, rebounds and will pass the ball if he doesn’t have an open shot. Crossing my fingers he stays healthy and has a big year-we really need bench production.
