Lakers, Hornets, Rockets rekindling blockbuster Chris Paul talks

RedsArmyAdmin December 9, 2011 Uncategorized 8 Comments

I think at this point, Chris Paul will end up with the Lakers.  The question is, how does this work out where the league accepts the deal?

(a) Include Bynum, so the Lakers don't have the threat of acquiring Dwight Howard.

(b) Take some amount of salary back from the Hornets so they're not assuming added payroll

or some combination of the two.

For the record, I hate the idea of Chris Paul to the Lakers, but I hate the idea of the league interfering with team business more.  This entire thing has been a debacle from the get go.  They just need to finish thing thing off and move forward.  And that means the Celtics moving on with Rajon Rondo as the point guard… which is absolutely fine with me.

I do not know if they can do this but the previous deal will definitely ruin the hornets already messed up finances.
Dell Demps definitely took the best player trade option available but he did not consider how much it will cost the hornets financially or he does not know a thing about number crunching.
Business wise, Stern made the right call saving the hornets from another future financial meltdown. Lakers had to find another way that is also fair in the books for the hornets.
The Celtics offer of Rondo(10M) and Green(6M) matches CP3’s(16M) salary hence its a financially viable trade(it will not burden Hornet’s finances further losses because they have been losing money for some time now) but basketball-wise for Dell it is not good trade.
If the Lakers can find a way like the Celtics offer or better then they probably will have CP3.

    Stern merely delayed the inevitable.
Paul will be a Laker…..and Howard will soon follow.
No way LA trades two of it`s three seven-footers…without being damn certain Howard is on his way.

we’ll see what will they come up. likelihood of CP3 going to lakers is high, anyway.
