One of our RedsArmy readers in China was cool enough to help me find video of Paul Pierce's final game in China. We have the game in its entirety, broken-up into clips. This was filmed in Beijing at the Mastercard Center on Sunday evening. This is the 3rd/4th place game featuring Pierce, Michael Beasley and the Kentucky Bisons vs the hometown Beijing Ducks of the CBA. The Bisons won 93-84 to capture 3rd place. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Paul was not much of a factor offensively; he went 1 of 4 from the field for a total of 3 points in 14 minutes. Michael Beasley on the other hand shot the ball pretty-much everytime he touched it and finished with 32 points and 11 rebounds.
The main thing that stuck-out to me was just how utterly empty the arena was. I mean this was a "consolation game", but I was still surprised that 75% of the seats were empty. But regardless, Paul was genuinely taking it all in. You'll notice at the start of the 2nd half, he has his boy take his pic courtside, and Pierce then jogs over to where a bunch of fans in "Pierce" jerseys are and snaps their photo too. Also watch for Paul to go into the scorer's table while trying to get a loose ball near the end of the 2nd quarter.
Anyways, enjoy the game, and I've also included some photos after the jump. *NOTE: It may take time for the videos to load.
