Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

Mickael Pietrus: "A lot of teams are interested in me, like the Lakers or the Celtics. This came from the best player in the world: Kobe Bryant. He told me two months ago that he would like to see me with the Lakers.

L'Equipe (via Hoops Hype)

The 29-year old Pietrus is still under contract with Phoenix. He exercised a $5.3 million option at the end of the season. He was traded from Orlando in the Marcin Gortat/Jason Richardson swap.

There's speculation the Suns want to move him because of a surplus of swingmen; Jared Dudley and Josh Childress are both under contract and Grant Hill is expected to re-sign.

I like his game. He can defend and shoot the three. What would it take to pry him from Phoenix? I have no idea.

If anyone can speak or read French, please peruse the L'Equipe article and pass along any relevant information in the comments. Merci.

    what it says
After five years of absence, Mickael Pietrus is about to find the France team that does not really seem to have missed him. At least, at no time did the Phoenix winger said in an interview he gave to the team on Thursday. “I did not watch the matches too, he says. It was I who called Vincent (Collet) to warn him that I was ready. I appreciate it. He understood my situation last year. I came to him. “However,””Air France as it is known across the Atlantic, “has never given up on the Blues.”
“Being the sixth man, why not?”
“Frustrated” by his previous failures in selection, the youngest of the brothers Pietrus returned “to share and win.” But in what role? “The playing time does not interest me, he let go immediately. Be the sixth man, why not? In fact, for my first matches, I will take any shot, just to make you talk, “says he in a big laugh to the attention of journalists. There is no doubt that Mike is back.
Its future? “I would see Kobe Bryant to the Lakers”
Transferred to the Suns last December as part of an exchange, Mickael Pietrus finished the season in mixed (7.4 points in 18 minutes). But “it’s over,” he cut. “I only watch the future (…). Phoenix did not use, but that’s their problem. I continued to work. The only thing that interests me now is winning a title. “Luckily, he said a high performing team is not against the recruit. “J’intéresse lot of teams like the Lakers, the Celtics, he enumerates. It came from the best player in the world: Kobe Bryant. He told me two months ago that I would see the Lakers. ”

I like MP. He can back Ray yes? DWest runs point with him or go small w/ rr, west, MP, Pierce or Green and KG. That unit would be plenty athletic. Young wings with tools to check Lebron and Wade are very important so PP and Ray have energy left in the 4th quarter.
