GreenLight Madness: Celtics Top 64 Plays (#18 Seed vs #47 Seed)

The 2010-2011 NBA season officially ended last night with a truly compelling title run by the Dallas Mavericks.  How fitting is it that the season began and ended with a celebration in Miami?  I want to offer a Texas sized congratulations for not only offing Miami, but also obliterating the LA Lakers.  Dallas, you have have many supporters on the East Coast here in Boston!

Moving on to the next matchup of our continuing tournament, we have Ray Allen and Paul Pierce going head-to-head.  No, it's not re-match of the three-point contest, but it's a three vs a dunk. (Note: We had a mild upset in the previous matchup, with Rondo's 4 seconds or less lay-up defeating Ray and Delonte's clutch threes, taking just over 60% of the vote).

Seed #18: Ray Allen: You can't See Me – In a frenetic playoff game against the Knicks, Ray Allen first bricks a three of the side of the backboard as he falls into the bench.  But the C's stay with the play, and eventually Rajon Rondo finds Ray wide open as he drills the three, then gives the "You Can't See Me" gesture.  Or was he lobbying for a foul?  Either way it was a fantastic play.

Seed #47: Pierce Blows by Delfino for the Dunk – In a mid-March Sunday night game at home against the Milwaukee Bucks, the C's are dominating early in the second half.  Clearly, Paul Pierce hasn't had enough and decides to add Carlos Delfino to his 2011 Dunk Hit List.  KG feeds Pierce who is posting up Delfino, then with a lightning quick step to the baseline, blows by him and throws down the two-handed slam.
