According to the Celtics twitter feed:
Guard Ray Allen has exercised his option for the 2011-12 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The option is reportedly worth $10 million which qualifies as a bargain.
While Ray is getting older (he'll be 36 in July), the dude is still producing.
He averaged 36 minutes in 80 games. He shot a career best 49% and 44% from 3, and averaged 16.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg and 2.7 apg.
Yes, the Celtics need to get younger and more athletic, but let's hope Danny Ainge can pull that off without moving Ray.
