‘Toine wiggling his way into Canada?

Antoine stampede
Antoine Walker is trying like hell to make a comeback.  Right now, he's averaging 16 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game for the D-League's Idaho Stampede.  He's shooting an Antoine-esque 44% from the field and 36% from 3.  Hell… he even busted out the wiggle!

Well, now he's drawing interest from another pro team.  No, not in the NBA.  For the International Basketball League's Edmonton Energy

To that end, Stanley said he’s been working on bringing in three players with NBA experience to spruce up the roster.

“Right now, we are in negotiation with three ex-NBA players. The depth and the talent level that could come to the Energy this year is outstanding,” he said.

The most high-profile of the three players is former all-star and longtime Boston Celtic Antoine Walker, who ran into financial hardship in 2009 after earning $110 million during his 13-year NBA career. Walker, 34, played in the NBA’s Development League this season in hopes of latching on with an NBA team.

Hey..  Toine needs money.  I'm sure if they pay him enough… he'll go. I'm guessing he won't even make $100k a year.  Nice little living for you and me… but I wonder what it means for Antoine.  We'll have to wait and see.

I would love if ‘Toine could come to Edmonton. I don’t go to a lot of Energy games, but i’ll get season tickets if they come up with a couple of NBA players.
