Carlos Arroyo is saying the right things

"It’s been a roller coaster," admitted Arroyo. "But I'm truly excited to start a new career here in Boston. It's a great opportunity for me and my career, to do whatever possible to help this team win. Whatever coach needs me to do out there — be a leader, get guys involved, put them in the right spots. I'm just truly excited be part of a great franchise overall with great teammates."

It's no secret… I've been anti-Arroyo from the first mention of his name in Celtics rumors.  But he is what Sasha Pavlovlic is… insurance.

Of course, I could totally buy into the theory that the right situation, right locker room, the right coach could all add up to a suprisingly effective stint in Boston.  I don't really want to go down that road.  All I want him to do is play about 15-20 minutes and not screw up.  That's it.

But he's saying the right things.  He's not showing any bitterness when he could theoretically do so.  So the not screwing up is already happening.  We'll see how the rest goes.

  • something tells me we’ll see more of pavlovic than some people expect… if Doc loves his defense, he’ll play. We’ll see how it goes, but with that length he could be quiet effective on D and better than Marquis and TA on offense since he can at least shoot it and spread the floor. I actually see Von Wafer out of the rotation.

  • Von may have gotten injured at the wrong time. Pav is getting a shot. However…is Sasha quick enough to guard shooting guards? If not Delonte and Von will be the reserves behind Ray.

  • Oh yeah I saw the Android app ad in the upper right corner. Worth having if you have Google’s os. Only improvements would be a comment feature to view/post. Oh yeah and the Audio side crashes of late. If I remember right the Podcasts are streamed through the App, there should be an option to download to phone and play back through your audio player.
As a public service here is the new rss feed should anyone wish to subscribe to the Two Man Game podcast.

  • I see Sasha playing a bigger role than Murphy for sure. There is something about his game that I like more than I remember. Dallas was going back-n-forth on keeping him (and he was starting there towards the end!) – that’s telling!

  • Bitterness? Why?
