Report: Murphy torn between Boston, Miami

Via Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski:

Troy Murphy has phone calls set with Pat Riley and Danny Ainge on Monday night, and source says "still torn" between Miami and Boston.

There's no guarantee Murphy will make a decision on Tuesday, but it's likely within next 48 hours.

WTF? I thought Danny had a wink-wink deal. It's the only explanation for prematurely dumping Semih Erden and Luke Harangody. If this was a 50-50 proposition, he could have waived or bought out either player to make room.

Because Murphy has already been waived, he can take his time deciding. The rules stipulate the player must be waived by March 1 at 11:59 PM to be playoff eligible. There's no requirement on WHEN he signs with another team.

this is the only name I’m intrigued in too. Brewer don’t care for, Bibby neither. Murphy is the guy we want and Miami too. I’d hate to see him go there

Why is this guy torn between Miami and Boston?
Last time I checked, Boston has Miami’s number. I swear, if this guy wants a HIGH chance at winning the championship, he NEEDS to be with the Celtics.

“plus they’re a tax free state”
this is why the C’s should move to the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manch-Vegas.

I just don’t think Murphy is enough for Miami. But he would be perfect off the bench for the C’s.
