It never gets old

KWAPT February 8, 2011 Uncategorized 5 Comments

As I look at the ridiculous ticket prices for Thursday, I think, “maybe I’ll just watch it on tv.” But then it grabs me. Celtics. Lakers. L.A. looking to avenge a loss on their home-floor. Reggie Miller in the building. Ray just 2 away from the record. It never gets old.

Such an amazing and heart felt rivalry, and not just for the players – us fans too! I am AMPED for this game.
Ps. Check craiglist for tickets. I just snagged some.

I HATE that nelly song, but that video gave me chills!

Really? Heart felt/chills/getting amped? I’m being honest here……I just don’t get up for games versus the C’s more than other teams. Finals maybe, but not regular season games. The “rivalry” is just so overhyped that it over saturates and becomes a bit of a joke. It’s a basketball game. Not THE basketball game.
In any event, looking forward to the game and more importantly -the rest of the season.

Even if the Celtics manage to win they will not be able to get rid of that rotten taste out of their mouths. No way you can avenge a game 7 loss without beating the Lakers in the Finals. Which won;t happen.

Though it makes me tear a bit that Reggie’s record is broken but it is withy great joy that Ray Allen is the man to do that. Nobody else deserves it better than a pure class man.
