Enemy Chatter: Where the Nets left their cars running

Chuck - Red's Army December 6, 2010 Uncategorized 2 Comments

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from New Jersey.

The Celtics (16-4) could have started warming up their bus at halftime because the Nets (6-15) played as if they left their cars running…

As soon as the Celtics delivered the first punch, the Nets were down for the count, game and fight over.

“There was none, in no area,” Johnson said. “We thought we would have some energy. We didn’t. Devin wasn’t his normal explosive self. I could just go on and on down the list.”

The Celtics were missing Rajon Rondo and lost Shaquille O’Neal in the first half. They could have been without Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett ande Ray Allen and Boston probably still would have beaten the Nets.

Playing uninspired and careless, the Nets were throttled by Boston in a game that brought back memories of last season.

This team is horrible….I think the owner should shut his pie hole about his plans of taking over the city from the Knicks. That dumb billboard that is up in NY should be taken down right away. I cant wait to see what happens with the assembled garbage goes to Brooklyn.

Is it wrong to revel in another team's misery? Because that's the only justification for this post.

How can u call the Nets horrible? The team already won half the games they did last year. Avery Johnson has done a good job getting these guys to work hard. Brook Lopez is playing like an Allstar. “Brought back memories of last season?” At this time they did not have 6 wins. those guys need to STFU!!!!!

i can call them horrible because they played horrible last night, were the worst team in the league last year, and haven’t done anything to really improve for this year specifically. playing harder doesn’t make your team better, just how competitive you are.
lopez is good, but lots of people put up good numbers on a crappy team. you don’t think glen davis could put up those numbers on the nets?
